Broad Street (Lyme Regis, England)

Watercolour and ink artwork on paper inspired by Broad Street in Lyme Regis. I used to live just outside of this lovely English seaside town and this print is inspired by the countless memories I have of this street leading down to the sea. If you've been to Lyme Regis you'll know how packed it can get, especially during the summer holidays. There is nothing quite so lovely as being fortunate enough to catch the town unawares, quiet and at ease, with just the gentle sighing of the sea and the song of the seagulls as your soundtrack while you make your way slowly down towards the beach, relishing that rare chance to enjoy the view.
