Parc Güell (Barcelona, Spain)

Watercolour and ink artwork on paper inspired by the view from Parc Güell across Barcelona. I love how you can clearly see nature's influence in the organic forms and curves that characterise Antoni Gaudí's work, and of course the wonderful colours! I admire the incredible skill behind his creations but also the fact that he wasn't afraid to break the mould and make something different. Did you know the beautifully colourful serpentine mosaic bench was made from broken ceramic tiles from a nearby factory? I've been to Barcelona many times and this whimsical park (and its views) is one of my favourite places!
